Rank | Team | +/- | Record | Comments ---|---|----|----|---- 1 | (JW) Patriots | --- | 10-3 | Impact Players: QB P Rivers SD, RB L Bell PIT, WR A Brown PIT, D/ST Dolphins. Problem Areas K. The Patriots have clinched a playoff spot with their win over the Snowballs, and guarantee themselves at least a 10 win season after the scary 0-2 start to the year with this 160 point victory. This week, LeVeon Bell (RB, PIT) led the team with 31 points, and Antonio Brown wasn't far behind with 21. For now, the Patriots are the team to beat, but their work isn't done. La Cucaracha sits very close behind at 10-3 in second place, so the Patriots need to keep winning to hold onto their first seed. 2 | (CM) Bioshock | +1 | 9-4 | Impact Players QB A Luck IND, RB A Foster HOU. Problem Areas: WR, TE. It was a slow week for the Bioshock team, who put up 129 points mostly on the coattails of the 48 point performance by Andrew Luck, who threw for 5 TDs. Eddie Lacy (RB, GB) put up 11 to compliment Arian Foster's 16 to help seal the deal, and though the WR corps didn't do much, Jordy Nelson (WR, GB) had a solid day with 11 points to elevate the Bioshock over the Fiddlesticks and with the win, they have officially clinched a playoff spot. 3 | (JPW) Labradors | -1 | 10-3 | Impact Players: WR A Jeffery CHI, K D Carpenter BUF. Problem Areas: RB, WR, TE. The Labradors had a rough week this week, scoring just 107 points, on a 4 week stretch that had previously seen a low score of 131. Fortunately for them, the Spartans have been struggling quite a bit lately and only put up 66, allowing the Labradors to still get the blowout victory and remain atop the West Conference at 10-3. Tom Brady hasn't been putting up the outrageous numbers he was for several weeks, which is in part responsible for the point drop-off, but he's still producing very well with 24 this week, the second highest total on the team behind the 49ers D, who put up 28. The team lacked in breakout performances this week, but did manage 19 points from Alshon Jeffery (WR, CHI) who had 2 touchdowns on thanksgiving. The Labradors have clinched a spot in the playoffs with their 10th win. 4 | (TH) La Cucaracha | +1 | 10-3 | Impact Players: RB D Murray DAL, WR J Jones ATL. Problem Areas: WR. La Cucaracha got an important win this week over the Gators. Not that they were hurting for wins, but the win, which put them at 10-3, clinches them a spot in the playoffs and keeps them neck and neck with the conference leading Patriots, who are also 10-3. The 111 points scored for La Cucaracha was a bit lower than is to be expected from the team, but with Peyton Manning have a below average game, scoring just 20 points, and only earning 1 point between the WR2 and WR3 positions, they were fortunate to squeeze out what they did. WR Julio Jones (ATL) led the charge this week with 24 total points, the highest total on the team. Though they scored considerably lower than usual, it would be a stretch to say this team is in trouble. 5 | (AC) Dryskull | -1 | 6-7 | Impact Players: QB D Brees NO. Problem Areas: RB, WR, TE, D/ST. Drew Brees finally put up Drew Brees numbers this week, scoring 42 points for Dryskull. Unfortunately, as a whole, the team put up less than double of that, scoring just 73 points in a huge loss to Shutupwomangetonmyhorse. While the RB position has been a major concern for several weeks now, the WR and TE positions have been added to that, as between those four players, only 12 points were put up. The Cardinals defense didn't do any favors putting up just 12 points this week either. The Dryskull still hold on to 3rd place in the West for now, but there are plenty of teams looking to move up in the coming 3 weeks. 6 | (RM) Packers | +1 | 6-7 | Impact Players: WR T Smith BAL, D/ST Colts. Problem Areas: RB, TE. The Packers are now 2-0 under the new ownership, and are still very much alive in the fight for a playoff spot at 6-7, now just one game behind 4th or 3rd place. The going gets tough this week, however, as the Packers have to face the 1st place Patriots, who are averaging 144 points per game. A win here would not only be a statement victory for the team, but would also help to drastically increase their odds of making the playoffs, especially if Rae's Rimjobs or the Spartans should lose. 7 | (ZJ) Getonmyhorse | +7 | 3-10 | Impact Players: WR K Allen SD, D/ST Rams. Problem Areas: RB, WR, TE. Getonmyhorse had a huge week this week, putting up a league high 172 points. This was thanks to a 100 point performance by the Rams, who shut out the Raiders 52-0. The win could not have come at a better time for this team, as they would have been officially out of the running for a playoff spot with a loss. Instead, they see their hopes stay alive and also enjoy the biggest jump on the power rankings among all teams this season as they jump from 14th (dead last) to 7th. That's the good news. The bad news is, the team can't afford to lose another game this season. Their chances of making the playoffs even if they win out the rest of the year are slim, but they drop to near impossible odds with just one more loss. 8 | (AR) Rae's Rimjobs | -2 | 7-6 | Problem Areas: QB, RB, WR, TE, D/ST. Rae's Rimjobs scored only 57 points this week, the lowest total in the league for Week 13, and their lowest total over the past 5 games. They needed a win here too, because now the Packers are nipping right at their heels to knock them out of playoff contention. Another loss in Week 14 would be catastrophic for them, especially if the Packers pull out a win against the Patriots. This week's loss can be blamed on both Tony Romo (QB, DAL) who put up just 5 points, and the Cowboys defense, who put up only 2. The 7 point total between what should usually be your highest two scoring positions is certainly not a recipe for success. 9 | (YM) Team Galaxy | -1 | 5-8 | Impact Players: QB B Roethlisberger PIT, WR C Johnson DET, K M Crosby GB. Problem Areas: RB, WR, TE, D/ST. Team Galaxy lost this week, and you can blame it pretty much solely on the RB position, which yielded a total of 0 points this week. The team only lost by 17, so had the Patriots D played just a little better, and the RBs actually gotten points, they likely would have won, and been more alive in the playoff race, but now with the loss, their chances go from slim to slimmer. Ben Roethlisberger, who put up 29 points, and Calvin Johnson, who put up 26 gave it their best this week, but the rest of the team couldn't keep pace, and now the team is looking at long odds as they sit in 6th place behind a Packers team that is moving on up. 10 | (CC) Gators | -1 | 6-7 | Impact Players: QB A Rodgers GB, D/ST Panthers. Problem Areas: RB, WR, TE. The Gators got zero points from RB T Gerhart (JAX), WR V Cruz (NYG, injured), WR H Nicks (IND), and TE J Graham (NO) this week, which was a massive part of their loss to La Cucaracha. Had those players performed, they may have even squeaked out a victory, as they still managed 85 points with all those zeroes on the board. For now, the Gators cling to a playoff spot in 4th place, but those hopes could slip away real fast if the team isn't improved here as we get into the final 3 games of the season. 11 | (MC) Snowballs | +2 | 5-8 | Impact Players: QB M Stafford DET, K J Tucker BAL, D/ST Bengals. Problem Areas: RB, WR. The Snowballs could have really used a win here this week against the Patriots, and it looked hopeful with the performance by Matt Stafford on Thanksgiving day with 31 points, but the rest of the team fell off by Sunday, and the Snowballs put up just 104 points, which was their highest total since prior to Week 9, but still not enough to topple the Patriots. As with many teams in the league, the Snowballs are competing for one of the last few remaining playoff spots, but their window is closing very quickly as they fall to 5-8. 12 | (SW) Spartans | -2 | 7-6 | Problem Areas: RB, WR, TE, D/ST. The Spartans only scored 66 points this week, their lowest in quite some time. Between both running backs, they scored just 1 point, and got zero from the TE position as well. Though this team holds a playoff spot for now, the Packers are creeping up on them, now down just one game. The Spartans may need to make some changes here quickly if they want to stay alive in the playoff chase in a conference that has already seen two of the spots locked in. They're now competing against 4 teams for the final two spots. 13 | (KVW) Shoguns | +1 | 2-11 | Impact Players: RB R Jennings NYG, D/ST Eagles. Problem Areas: QB, WR, TE. The Shoguns did something this week they've only done one other time this season.. Win. Still ailing from the QB position, held by now benched QB Robert Griffin III (WAS), the Shoguns still were able to put up 105 points this week, eclipsing the 100 mark for just the second time in 5 weeks. The Eagles D picked up 56 points in the winning effort and helped lift them over Team Galaxy, but unfortunately for this team, they're eliminated from playoff contention. Any and all wins from here on out are just for padding the stats. 14 | (CR) Fiddlesticks | -2 | 5-8 | Impact Players: RB L McCoy PHI, D/ST Texans. Problem Areas; QB, RB, WR, K. Times are looking grim these days for the Fiddlesticks, who fall yet again, and are now sitting on 5-8 in 6th place in the West. Colin Kaepernick (QB, SF) put up only 3 points this week, while Brandon Oliver (RB, SD) put up 0, and the entire WR corps put up just 8 in the 85 point performance that lost them the game here this week against Bioshock. Whether or not this team can bounce back and sneak into the playoffs remains to be seen, but it's looking less and less hopeful as we near the end of the season.
