So I built this Dual Xeon 2620 to try and have a better MMO multiboxing gaming rig, except my 3930k (which runs next to it) seems to just be performing better. Smoother, faster, even Firefox seems to just run better... I am getting mega annoyed. Ran benchmarks today and I am getting frustrated, so some advice would be great. My overall question is, what is the issue? Should I get faster Xeons and return these? Should I buy a 5960x instead? i realize that if you compare clock speed, ofc the 3930k is faster... but frankly running 15 game clients on the Xeon is slower, which frankly doesnt make much sense. It has 24 cores, it should run smooth as glass, at least that was my hope. Both are running 1866 RAM but since its in 4 sticks it shows as 669 MHz **Machine 1** * Dual Xeon 2620 V2 @ 2.6GHZ * 32gb RAM * Dual Samsung 840 EVO's in Raid 0 * Dual 780 ti (Different Man. if that matters?) * 55" ey Benchmark - http://i.imgur.com/FZ8QUcs.png * Cinebench - http://i.imgur.com/nz3aYS6.png * 3dMark - http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/5699000 **Machine 2** * 3930k @ 4.0GHZ * 32gb RAM * Single Samsung 840 EVO * AMD 290x * Dual 27" 4k Screen * Valley Benchmark -http://i.imgur.com/mau62yR.png * Cinebench - http://i.imgur.com/QBJhQo6.png * 3dMark - http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/5698985
Brothers, NY new PC seems pedestrian, why does it forsake our Lord Gaben? (Dual Xeon 2620)
