I use Plex for my own personal use, so when I bought a chromecast for the family living room, I needed to be more specific with what media the family can see. I have all the files stored on my computer, and a separate Plex account for my phone and the android device that the rest of the family uses in the living room. Since you apparently can't hide libraries on certain devices, I just "shared" my movies, tv, and music libraries to the family account and signed in with that account on the device they use. So on the family device, there's nothing under ANY of the tabs except for "Shared Libraries" which only includes Movies, TV shows, and Music. Yet when I connect to the Chromecast, the "Ready To Cast" screen has still images from the Photos and Home Videos folder, which are only on my device and not shared to the family device. I don't understand why or how that's happening, and I can't figure out how to just disable the stupid screen altogether. Can you even do so? If someone knows how to disable this screen from showing background images, or could tell me why excluded content is showing up, that would be great. I already tried disabling everything that would have to do with background art in the settings on the Plex app, unchecking everything from the dashboard, and disabled the device from automatically finding servers that are just broadcasting, thinking maybe it was still picking it up somehow. I just don't understand why these simple little things are so problematic (at least for me). Like why not just have an option to simply disable this feature? Why not have an option to hide certain libraries on a device? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
