Signal from video card just disappeared

Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 @ 2.66GHz RAM: 7,00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz (5-6-6-18) Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. G33M-DS2R (Socket 775) Graphics: Nvidia GeForce MSI 560GTX-TI TWIN FROZR II/OC (stock OC) Storage: 186GB SAMSUNG HD200HJ (SATA), 698GB SAMSUNG HD753LJ (SATA) PSU: Xigmatek NRP-PC702 Display: BenQ E2400HD Everything was fine until yesterday, until I left my PC in idle for about 5 mins and went away from it. When I returned, there was no signal from video card. Seems like system boots just fine, POST beeps once, OS loads, video card fans spins, but there is no signal. I tried switching to different DVI port and HDMI, but it didn't helped. Then I tried to connect xbox 360 to monitor through the same HDMI cable that I was trying with video card (to exclude monitor or cable problems) and everything worked fine (so the monitor and cables are fine). I tried re-setting gpu from PCI-E, but no luck, I even tried PCI-E X4 slot. I'm posting this from integrated video on this system, and for now every part of PC works fine. I suspect my video card is dead, and I'm going to bring it to some certified center for diagnostics, but for now I have two questions: 1. WTF happened? What can cause such sudden death of video card with no prior symptoms? I was very paranoid about temps, if msi afterburner didn't lie to me, temperatures were never exceeding 70C 2. Can it be mobo problem? (I dunno what problem it can be though, if everything except discrete video works fine, but who knows..)

[Build Help] Please check this pc build for me

Hey guys, I am new to this kind of stuff so I would like your help. I am looking to build a gaming pc to run games smoothly. An example of the games I play are Assassin Creed Unity, Far Cry 4 and CS:GO. -Budget around 2.8k SGD -I am purchasing this PC in Singapore. -I do not need a keyboard or mouse I can purchase it separately. -I don't think I will be overclocking the PC too as I don't know how and I am afraid I will spoil the PC :( I would just like to have help with checking if the PC specs is good enough and I do not know whether to choose the HDD or SSD please help me! I also do not understand this part: 'Intel i7 4790 Processor (Quad Core) (8MB Cache 3.6-4.0 GHZ)' Is 3.6ghz my computer speed and 4.0ghz the speed when I overclock the PC? And should I get the 'ASRock Motherboard H97M Pro4' or keep the 'ASRock Z97 Extreme 4 (SLI & M.2 SSD Supported)'? The first one is free. I'm really a newb at this stuff so please help =D ~~~Website used is aftershockpc.com and selected PC is AFTERSHOCK HYPERGATE. ~~~Pc cost $2546 and below are the specs! rDNA40 and Wireless Charging

Hey I have a Vaporshark rDNA40 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Wireless Charging Kit. Both the rDNA and the Samsung kit are advertized as Qi-certified, but I'm unable to get the rDNA to charge with it, no matter how I try to position it on the pad. Charging my phone with the pad works well and I have it connected to my PC instead of a wall socket. But that shouldn't be a problem since USB3 should allow up to 5a if needed, and rDNA requires 2a. I was wondering if there is anyone else with the same combo and if they were able to get it to work? Or some other charging pad that works? I'm a bit hesitant to order the original charger, since it would take nearly a month for it to arrive from the US, but other products might be available nearby.

[Build Ready] H/T Gaming/Media PC

Waffling on z97-mATX motherboards at the moment. No real interest in SLI'ing in the near future, and I'm not sure what to think of m.2 this early (ie, is it a must have feature in 14 months?). So the Pro4 or Asus -Plus should be right up my alley. But I don't mind paying extra for a better quality build, so the Gryphon is also enticing. Gene might be a bit too rich for me though. Those 4 seem to be the only z97 mATX boards with Intel Lan. Here's what I'm thinking of grabbing. Mainly buying it to play Dragon Age and Mordor...seems like an i5 is mandatory for the former, and it's a slippery slope of incremental gains from the 4430 to the 4690k. Chose the Gryphon for; OC ability, Intel Lan and build quality, though I could probably be talked down to a cheaper mobo. 212 was a left over from a friend's build, which didn't fit his case clearance. I was thinking of using it for sound purposes more than anything else. All Hard Drives are left overs for now. There is probably better value PSU out there, so looking for recommendations. I'm looking for quality, silence, enough power for possibly a 290, and (vainly) all black calbing (not just sleeving). 650 version is currently cheaper than 550 in Canada I had planned on going with an r9-290 closer to Boxing Day, but they have since gone back up in price. As a result, I'll probably step down to a 280/770, or at least monitor prices over the next few weeks/around the 960 drop. This is a TV gaming rig so purely 1080p for the foreseeable future; but I'm going with the 4690k/z97 combo as it will most likely transition to be my main rig when that one start's aging.

[Build Help] Computer for college, Opinions and suggestions please!

Hi everyone, first time posting here. The reason I am posting is because I need some opinions on a build for college, graphics card to be added at a later date. Although if you believe you can stay inside the budget with a graphics card then please feel free to post! The budget is £660 maximum. Here is a build I have put together on PcPartPicker: [PCPartPicker part list](http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/BYMB7P) / [Price breakdown by merchant](http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/BYMB7P/by_merchant/) Type|Item|Price :----|:----|:---- **CPU** | [Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor](http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646i54690k) | £173.94 @ Aria PC **CPU Cooler** | [Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler](http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/noctua-cpu-cooler-nhd15) | £74.72 @ CCL Computers **Motherboard** | [Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard](http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-z97a) | £110.39 @ Aria PC **Memory** | [Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory](http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cml8gx3m2a1866c9b) | £71.76 @ Scan.co.uk **Storage** | [Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive](http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/samsung-internal-hard-drive-mz7pd128bw) | £82.78 @ Scan.co.uk **Case** | [Fractal Design Define R5 ATX Mid Tower Case](http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/fractal-design-case-fdcadefr5bk) | £74.65 @ CCL Computers | | **Total** | Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available | £588.24 | Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-01-07 14:51 GMT+0000 | What is not included in that price is the power supply, this is because I was unable to find the one I have chosen on that website. It is called the Cooler Master V700, and can be found on scan for £90. I look forward to reading some opinions and alternative build ideas! Thank you. lorcano

Feedback from owners

I'm going to get a new phone, my current choices are a LG G2, Samsung Galaxy S4, and Nexus 5. I've watched videos and read reviews and this seems like a great phone, the textured grip on the back especially. But I'm torn, most places say "go with the G2, it performs better", but I feel like that isn't directly true, especially hearing they cheat on the benchmarks and they have identical CPUs. And the nexus has a better GPU. I could get g2 or s4 for free, or get a used nexus for, well, not free. Feedback?
